Wearing my quilt on my sleeve

For years… I smiled at the folks stitching quilty emblems onto their jeans, jackets, and skirts.

I admired.
I just looked.

But today? It’s my turn.

QuiltCon 2026 in Raleigh, NC — I’m coming for a girls’ fun trip, and I’m wearing my quilts. ๐Ÿงต✨

Denim with stitches.  Fabric with meaning.

Confidence in every thread.  And easy.   I simple zig-zagged (iron-on stitch-witchery to secure edges) and smoothly it is such a joy!

Proud to be one of those quilty Black girls who said, “Sis, it’s time.”

And it is. ๐Ÿ’›  — Beverly
