Word of the Day... ' kivers '

kivers -- quilts or blankets to "cover" up


``A kiver is an African quilt,`` Keeve said. ``A real quilt is made of scraps of different things, like silk, satin, wool.

That`s what I conceive the black experience to be. Wherever you find another black person, he is a part of me.

It doesn`t matter where they`re from. They are another square on my quilt.``
