My collection of quilts will hang in Owens Museum

In a MuseumBy Carrie A. Hall

Rare old quilt, of faded hue—
Once a bride’s most precious treasure
Hidden in her dower-chest.
Loving hands that fashioned you
Stitch by stitch, in careful measure
Long ago, are now at rest.

Your patches tell a wondrous story
Of treasured scraps and handicraft;
Of love and home, and dreams come true.
For honored guests your pattern’d glory,
Enfolding them, caressing, soft—
And baby hands have lightly touched you.

Now you’re worth your weight in gold;
To lie in state your only duty,
In pleasant ways your lot is cast
And to the world your tale is told.
To those who love your patterned beauty
You re-create the fragrant past.

In the crazy quilt of life, I'm glad you're in my block of friends.

Author Unknown... probably a seamstress or Quilter....

My life is but a weaving  . . . . .

 Between my Lord and me,
I cannot choose the colors........ He weaveth steadily ....

Ofttimes He weaveth sorrow . . .

And I, in foolish pride,
Forget....  He seeth the upper
and the underside.

Not till the loom   is silent,

and the shuttles cease to fly..... Shall God unroll the canvas

 and reveal the reasons Why.

  are needful.... in the skillful weavers hand...........

Along with the threads of gold and silver and blue, and yellow, and green.....

....   There is a reason and a path
                     In the Pattern He has planned for me!!!
