Why Quilt ~ It's A Stress burner!

 Hello friends and fellow quilters - sewists - crafters!    There is a little shop in OKC... and I snapped the lovely Thread Dome.  Resisted the urge to buy.   DIY... and I don't have a really large room!

A few more thoughts on why quiltin' is good for you... and me!  

In my sewing room last night.... I began a new clutter space..... or in reality... it is a creative space.  A bit of batting on the wall... and wa-la-la.... a design wall!  The bright colors used in quilt blocks can elevate our moods.... and still relax the mind... and push stress-filled  thoughts to the back-burner!

Then... take a few minutes to calculate, exact our cutting methods..... and we are in the flow.  A mild high... and a I'm ready for a good nights sleep.   I stand back and look at the finished flying geese block!  And to know that we are working on a tangible end... a finished-snuggly quilt to keep or give away.... is satisfaction supreme.

I've got a new itch... to match my quiltin craze!

 It's collecting great tea cup... to sip my afternoon tea!  Not just show and sittin pretty!
I first garage saled the Royal Albert pretty - gorgeous bone china.  

Don't know if it was glaze coated or not.... I began to soak (overnight by mistake....in baking soda.... and now a new stain may be set in...???)   Anyhow - I Love it (bought the 6 pc Lavendar Rose setting cheap) !!  I'm gonna use it...yeah!!

But the latest cup sits low, larger round lip and my thumb is so comfortable.  It's porcelain... I like better a little weight in the finish of the cup.   What does RWO mean????

I want to remember her birthday @ 7-11-2009!   I am so blessed to see my baby enjoying this lady-bug blanket.... several postings as it was in the making.... it was a UFO.... and then shipped and to be enjoyed.

This is one of the surprising ways in which to answer the questions.... What is a Quilt.....????
